In the face of threats to the DACA program, the Home Is Here Opportunity Program provides undocumented people leadership experience, professional development, one-on-one mentorship, and connection with other immigrant leaders while empowering and building resiliency in their immigrant community.

Program Benefits

Home Is Here Opportunity Program participants:

• Receive a $7,000 stipend to support participation in the program.
• Expand their knowledge about resources and support available to immigrant entrepreneurs.
• Sharpen their planning, communication, facilitation, and time-management skills.
• Receive one-on-one mentorship.
• Become part of a nationwide network of immigrant leaders.

Participant Qualifications

All program participants must:

• Have a personal connection to the undocumented experience and are interested in learning more about entrepreneurship, advocacy, and organizing.
• Will be residing in the U.S. during the entire duration of the program.
• Have prior experience and comfort in public speaking, sharing your story, and community building.
• Have basic computer skills and access to computer and internet.
• Commit to 10-15 hours/week from November 2024 through March 2025.
• Attend virtual opening orientation on November 4, 2024 and closing celebration on March 14, 2025.
